Children & Family Hubs Update Dec 2022

Children and Family Hubs will provide a universal ‘front door’ to families, offering a ‘one-stop shop’ of family support services across their social care, education, mental health and physical health needs, with a comprehensive offer for parents and babies at its core. The development of C&F Hubs also aligns with developments in our Early Help system and pathways and youth hubs.
Over the last 6 months, we have been establishing our governance and project team. We will soon begin work with key service leads to develop a delivery plan to submit to the DfE before the end of year.
We are continuing our engagement activities, with a current focus on parents/carers, service users and children and young people; including the development of a parent/carer panel model. Future activities will build on our previous engagement with partners, services, and staff. This will feed into the development of the delivery plan and any proposed changes. The Family Hubs Team anticipates initial findings from the engagement with parents, carers, and families by the end of December, and will let stakeholders know the findings of this engagement work in the new year.
We aim to provide regular updates going forward as the work progresses. In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to contact the project team at familyhubs@hackney.gov.uk.
